Entry Procedure
Submit your proposals for a feature, documentary, experimental or animation film (maximum 10 min.)
Deadline for submission of proposals August 15, 2008
The application must include the following information:
- Synopsis of the film
- Cost estimate for production of the film
- Short biography of the director including successful examples of previous work, budgets, etc.
- Filmography
Submission must be made in English and production must be in English, or with English subtitles.
Selection and Notification
Submissions will be selected by a jury composed of representatives of European cinema and members of the EFIS Board. All decisions are final. The jury are exempt from legal liabilitiy.
The winner will be notified before October 30, 2008.
The film must be realised no later than April 15, 2009.
Award
EFIS, the European Federation of Immunological Societies, is offering an award of 3,000 Euros for the best short film which shows the importance of immunology and up to 25,000 Euros for realisation of the selected concept.
Nominated films will be presented on the Day of Immunology 2009, annouced in several international conferences, and will be made public on the internet.
EFIS assumes the right of use of the short cut film produced. Each author is responsible for the content of work submitted as well as for acquisition of the rights and exempts the organizer from possible legal recourse regarding unauthorized usage.
The director of the film retains the right to present the film in other festivals.
